What can Dial the Dr. treat?
Your doctor will treat most non- emergent medical conditions. Common conditions are: cold & flu, sore throat, bronchitis, rash & skin conditions, skin infections, bites or stings, headaches, migraines, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, yeast infections, allergies, itchy eyes, nasal congestion, pediatrics, diarrhea, vomitting, gout ,pink eye, travel medications, medication refills, general medical inquiries, any many other basic medical non-emergency issues.
*Dial the Dr. does not handle medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.
When should I not use Dial the Dr.?
Shortness of breathe, seizures, loss of consciousness, chest pain, and all other medical emergencies.
Can Dial the Dr. give me a prescription?
Your doctor will determine if a prescription is medically necessary. If so, it will be electronically sent to your pharmacy for you.
*Dial the Dr. does not prescribe DEA controlled substances.

When will I be able to talk to a doctor?
Your doctor will call you back on the SAME DAY within several minutes to a few hours after your service has been booked. After your service has been booked, you will receive an email notification with an estimated response time.
Are Dial the Dr. Physicians available during late hours?
Yes! Dial the Dr. is all about convenience. When your local urgent care or doctor's office has closed for the evening, Dial the Dr. is still open! 24/7!
What if I am not available during a certain time of the day?
No worries. If you are not free for your consultation during a certain time of the day, go to request a specific time under our services tab and book an appointment.

Can I use Dial the Dr. services if I'm away from home or on vacation?
Yes! The great thing about Dial the Dr. is that you can request a doctor in any of your participating states (see locations).
Can Dial the Dr. refill medication?
Yes.
Does Dial the Dr. see kids?
Yes, we get many pediatric visits. However, we cover all ages.
Does Dial the Dr. provide work excuses or school excuses?
Yes, if you need a work excuse or school excuse, let your doctor know.
Is Dial the Dr. available late at night?
Yes, Dial the Dr. is a 24 hour service. If your doctor's office or local urgent care has closed for evening, we are happy to help.
Can I send the doctor photos of my medical condition?
Once your service is booked you will be provided with a secure email to send your photos to if necessary. All communications are secure, encrypted under the HIPAA Privacy Rule and HIPAA Security Rule.
Is my information private?
Health records are always kept completely confidential.
Do you accept insurance?
We currently do not accept insurance. However, many states in the US will reimburse you for your telemedicine consultation, and you should check with your personal insurance company.
